• Download the .deb package here or on my server Kubuntu Kicker 2007-04-07 05:52:53 2.16 Mb (GPL)

• Double click on the package, install, restart KDE, Done.
  or in terminal
  cd Desktop
  sudo dpkg -i kicker_kickoff_1_i386.deb
  

• You can change the ugly launch button by changing the .png and mng image files in /usr/share/apps/kicker/pics
  
  One way to do it: download package from here or my server K-menu Kickofff button 2007-04-07 05:54:58 105.11 Kb (GPL)
  Extract the package and copy the files:
  
  If you want all users to have it:
  As root (kdesu konqueror), copy the 3 new files
  kmenu_basic.mng
  kmenu_vertical.mng
  kmenu_flipped.mng
  into the folder /usr/share/apps/kicker/pics
  backup the originals if you want
  
  If you only want to use it for your user account:
  Create directory named pics in ~/.kde/share/apps/kicker and copy the three files there (you don't need root privileges)
